Located 20 minutes drive from Southampton City and approximately 3 miles east of Chandlers Ford, Eastleigh is home to Southampton Airport and a number of different major employers. Winchester, the ancient capital of England is 12 miles to the north whilst historic Salisbury is 26 miles north west.

Eastleigh is home to the newly opened "POINT" - an arts and dance centre with an auditorium for 300. It is a popular focal point for community events and conference centre. Eastleigh’s Fleming Park Recreation Centre offers a wide range of recreational and keep-fit facilities, and is set in parkland with bowling greens, floodlit areas, 18 hole golf course, swimming and play facilities.

The town has a large shopping centre in the high street and there is a modern precinct, the Swan Centre, with a range of well known high street shops and good parking facilities.

Sports

To the south of Eastleigh town is Lakeside Country Park offering pleasant walks, fishing, canoeing and sailing facilities. The park has a newly opened outdoor arena and popular miniature steam railway. Hedge End, just five miles away, is home to the Hampshire Cricket ground at the Rose Bowl.

Eastleigh is just a five minute drive from the M27 and has a bus depot with links to Southampton city centre, Chandlers Ford, Bishopstoke, Fair Oak and Hedge End.

The M27 corridor of Hedge End, Eastleigh, West End and Chandlers Ford appeals very much to families as these areas offer quality schooling, for example, Wildern Community in Hedge End School and Thornden School in Chandlers Ford.
