Amy wins £250 for her school with her imaginative home of the future

 Mr Denis Foster
Letting specialist Leaders has once again been inundated with hundreds of pictures for its annual drawing competition.
The theme this year was ‘ Draw your home in 30 years time’ and children aged 4-11 were invited to enter with a chance to win £250 for their school and £50 gift vouchers to buy art equipment for themselves.
Leaders are pleased to announce the winner of the 8-11 year category as ten year old Amy, from Guillemont Junior School in Farnborough. The judges were impressed with Amy’s imaginative drawing which was colourful and detailed, showing a great deal of creative flair and a vivid imagination.

Zoe Compton from Leaders in Fleet, who presented Amy and her Head Teacher with the prizes, said: “Congratulations to Amy – her creative entry stood out from the hundreds we received and made a real impression on us. Her beach front ‘home in 30 years time’ included turrets made from ice cream, toy rooms, a recycling room and swimming pools. She also included detailed notes on the different elements of her design.  Amy showed a lot of vision and clearly put a lot of thought into her entry. Once again we were totally overwhelmed by the number and quality of the entries we received this year, so Amy did very well to win first prize.”
As a long-established business with many local employees and clients, Leaders like to make a positive contribution to the communities in which they operate, whether by helping to raise funds for local charities or sponsoring individuals or community projects. Their annual drawing competition is a fun way for the firm to contribute to local schools and they are delighted that so many children took part again this year.
