Leaders tea parties prove a ‘blooming great’ success for Marie Curie Cancer Care

Leaders were delighted to raise more than £350 for Marie Curie Cancer Care when a number of their branches hosted  Blooming Great Tea Parties during June.

Leaders’ offices in Aldershot, Fleet, Basingstoke and Godalming were specially decorated for the tea parties and staff made a lovely selection of cakes, biscuits and sandwiches for visitors to enjoy. Aldershot’s offerings went down particularly well with a group of builders who were working nearby!

Leaders’ area manager, Neal Ball, commented: “Well done to the teams for their hard work and to everyone who supported our Blooming Great Tea Parties in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Marie Curie does fantastic work caring for people with terminal cancer and other illnesses and is dedicated to ensuring that they have the high quality care and support they need at the end of their life in the place of their choice. Their network of 2,000 Marie Curie Nurses work in the homes of terminally ill patients across the UK, providing practical care and support and the charity is also the  biggest provider of hospice beds outside the NHS. We are delighted to support to such a worthwhile charity.”
