Introducing our new Chief Operating Officer

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Clare Tobin as Chief Operating Officer of Leaders.

Leaders’ Chief Executive Paul Weller, said: “This is a new role within Leaders, designed to strengthen our senior management team and ensure that we keep our focus firmly on our customers as we continue to grow.

“Clare joins us from the travel industry, which is all about customer care and satisfaction, and is abundantly qualified for the role. She spent 17 years with Tui Travel and First Choice where she held senior board roles.

“Clare will draw upon her extensive operational experience and skills to ensure that we have the right infrastructure, procedures and expertise in place to meet the varying needs of our customers; and continue to provide a high quality, personal and efficient service in each and every one of our branches.

“Over the 30 years Leaders has been established, we have always been at the forefront of best practise in the industry. We have enjoyed great success and grown rapidly, and now have 85 branches and more than 900 staff. Our plan is to continue to grow and provide our customers with a comprehensive service offering and extensive coverage across the UK.

“We are determined to steer Leaders forward in a way that keeps us at the top of our game. The property industry is ever-changing and we must be able to drive through operational change whenever necessary to enable us to continue to meet our customers’ high expectations.”

Clare’s appointment means that Paul Weller, as Chief Executive, will be able to focus on Leaders’ growth strategy while Clare focuses on the business strategy, ensuring that Leaders continues to operate to the highest standards.

Commenting on her new role, Clare said: “I am delighted to have joined Leaders and to be working in the property industry with one of its leading participants. Over the last few weeks I have been struck by the passion, commitment and professionalism of all the staff I have met. They take great pride in delivering an exceptional service and going the extra mile for our customers.

“I am looking forward to honing and developing the way in which Leaders operates, working closely with our head office and branch teams. My focus will be on keeping standards high and giving our customers the services they want via the channels that best suit them - face-to-face, over the phone, by post, email and online. Leaders’ core values will remain at the heart of the business.
