Investors tempted by Ipswich’s booming buy-to-let market have been invited to a special evening of advice and insight later this month, including an explanation of imminent changes to stamp duty.
Local property specialist Leaders is hosting a Property Investment Evening on Wednesday 24th February in response to a significant upturn in interest in local buy-to-let opportunities in recent months.
It will also serve as a chance for Suffolk-based investors to find out more about amendments to stamp duty land tax, which will be detailed in a presentation by Dominic Carter, corporate tax senior manager at BDO.
Several of Leaders’ team from its Ipswich branch will be in attendance to offer the benefit of their experience and knowledge of the local market, while a number of industry specialists will also share their expertise.
In addition to Mr Carter, special presentations will also be delivered by:
- Paul Farrant, financial advisor, Mortgage Advice Bureau
- Mark Willett, Auction House East Anglia
Rechenda Smith, sales manager at Leaders in Ipswich, says: “The Ipswich property market continues to go from strength to strength, making it a fantastic time to invest and take advantage of high tenant demand and potential capital growth.
“We are delighted three highly respected and successful individuals with buy-to-let expertise will be speaking at the Property Investment Evening. Tax, mortgages and buying at auction should be at the forefront of any investor’s mind, so the chance to ask questions of experts in these areas makes the event a must for all current and future landlords.
“Whether people are thinking about investing in property for the first time or expanding an existing portfolio, they can benefit from invaluable advice and information by joining us on the night.”
The Property Investment Evening will take place on 24th February at The Aquarium, Eastern Enterprise Hub, James Hehir Building, 5 University Avenue, Orwell Quay, Ipswich. It starts with tea, coffee and cake at 5.30pm and will finish at 7.30pm.
