Leaders and Romans committed to further expansion after 14 acquisitions in a year

Following the merger of national estate agents Leaders and Berkshire-based Romans, the Property Services Holdings Group (PSH) has reaffirmed its commitment to further expansion, despite a number of competitors revealing they are no longer acquiring businesses and adding new branches.

The property specialist, which offers a range of sales, lettings and buy-to-let services from 151 branches across the UK, is actively searching for further lettings companies to acquire.

News of the ongoing determination to increase its presence in all parts of the country comes shortly after it completed the acquisition of Bennett and Stevens in Tonbridge, Kent.

In purchasing the single branch business, which had been co-owned by Nick Stevens and his father for a number of years, PSH took its total number of acquisitions in the last 12 months to 22, with these deals helping the firm to add 31 new branches to its network.

It has made significant investment during the period in question and entered a number of key markets in that time, including Birmingham, Worcestershire and Essex, where PSH had no presence prior to October 2015.

Matthew Light, Group Acquisition Director for PSH, says: “Despite some of our major competitors opting to put away the chequebook in 2016 and beyond, we are ready to invest in more companies in order to expand our growing branch network even further.

“Our acquisitions team is currently extremely busy as we continue the search for new and successful businesses that can be absorbed into the Group. We would like to hear from any company owners who are thinking about selling either now or in the future.”

PSH prioritises minimising the disruption to clients and staff during the acquisition process and promises to help owners achieve their specific aims.

Matthew adds: “We focus heavily on retaining staff and offering them an opportunity to progress their career through additional training, development and job opportunities. In some cases, vendors have also remained with us in order to fulfil their ambitions in the property industry.

“We have ample experience in this area and can assure vendors of a smooth, swift and successful transaction.”
