Leaders is set to be one of the UK’s greatest contributors to Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning event later this month, with dozens of branches due to take part.
From High Wycombe to Hove, our teams of property professionals are set to bake, drink and, most importantly, donate in support of the extremely worthy cause.
The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is taking place across the country on the morning of Friday 26th September, with businesses, groups and individuals urged to host a coffee morning in a bid to raise money.
While all of our branches promise to offer a wonderful selection of cakes and baked goods, some are going the extra mile to impress.
For instance, Leaders in Bitterne is coinciding the coffee morning with the re-launch of its new-look branch, while the Bognor Regis office has teamed up with the neighbouring delicatessen Simply Delicious to ensure the tastiest treats in town will be on offer on the big day.
In Eastbourne, local people – including landlords, tenants, buyers and sellers – are invited to take a pre-launch look at our new office with the comfort of a coffee and cake.
As the largest fundraising event in the charity’s calendar, it is imperative that as many people take part as possible. Last year, 154,000 people signed up and £20 million was raised, allowing Macmillan to continue its work in providing expert support to people diagnosed with cancer and their families.
Alison Guyton, marketing manager at Leaders, said: “As our Charity of the Year, Macmillan holds a special place in our hearts and we are determined to raise as much money for cancer patients and their loved ones as possible through taking part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.
“We would love to see as many people as possible visit their local Leaders branch on the day to be part of the event, enjoy something delicious to eat or a high-quality hot beverage and make a donation to Macmillan.”
