Leaders in Waterlooville has been identified as one of the country’s best-performing estate agents on a new estate agency comparison website which launched in June.

Estateagent4me aims to help the public identify the best-performing agents in their area. It provides a free-to-use database of all agents in England and Wales which have been rated on performance.

Agents are ranked on the percentage of properties they have sold; the average time taken to sell a property; how often they achieve sales at or above the asking price; and the number of properties each agent has listed in the location. Users can enter their postcode to find their local ‘top’ agents.

One of those top agents is Leaders in Waterlooville which has been ranked among the three fastest agents for selling in the country, with an average time of 8 days to secure a sale. Nationally, the average length of time taken to sell a property over the past six months is 55 days, although there are wide regional variations. The quickest areas were Reading (26 days), Bristol (26 days) and outer London (43 days), while the slowest were Liverpool (85 days) and Leeds (62 days).

Marcus Foot, Leaders’ Waterlooville sales manager, said: “We are delighted to be ranked as one of the top agents in the country for speed of selling. We’re a small, experienced team delivering a very personal service here in Waterlooville. Our success is down to our exceptional knowledge of the local market and our extensive marketing of our properties in all the right places to attract and secure buyers.

“Waterlooville is a popular area which has a strong employment base and a broad spread of properties, from studio and one-bedroom flats to large, executive aspirational homes. There is also a buoyant rental market here where rental property is in high demand and investors can achieve yields of 6 per cent and above."

Leaders reports that it is experiencing demand from buyers for properties of all types in Waterlooville, and in particular for two and three-bedroom homes which are popular with families and investors.

“Since the election, demand from buyers has increased further but there are not enough properties coming onto the market to satisfy this demand,” says Marcus. “For anyone who has been thinking about selling, now is the ideal time. Buyers are back in force and properties that are priced accurately and marketed properly will sell quickly.”

Clare Tobin, Leaders’ chief operating officer said, “We are delighted with the outstanding performance of our Waterlooville team. Our core strength in Hampshire is growing and we are proud that our 20 branches across the county are frequently the first port of call for anyone looking to buy, sell, rent or let a property in Hampshire.“
