Well-known local estate agency firm AJR has been sold to Leaders - one of the UK property industry’s fastest-growing businesses.

AJR has been established in Loughborough and Quorn for many years and is one of the leading estate and letting agencies in Leicestershire. The firm enjoys an excellent reputation for providing a high-quality service and expertise.

All the AJR staff have joined Leaders, including Martyn Baum, current president of the National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA) and sales manager Kayleigh Perry, whilst the founders, Aidan Reed and James Etty, have left to focus on their student lettings business.

Commenting on the sale of AJR, Aidan Reed said: “We are very proud of the business we have built and wanted to secure the best possible future for our staff and clients. Leaders has the resources, expertise and commitment to provide a great service to our customers and a promising future for our employees.”

Leaders’ director, Emma Wells, said: “We are delighted to be in Leicestershire and extend a very warm welcome to our new staff and clients. We look forward to working with them all as we grow our business here.

“Leaders started out as a single branch agency 32 years ago and we’ve grown the business carefully over the years by delivering an excellent local property service and by acquiring reputable businesses, like AJR, across the UK.

“We can assure our new clients of an excellent service and are pleased that the entire AJR team - including Kayleigh Perry, Nick Hall, Charlie Lockhart and Matt Flinders - have stayed with us. They will continue to look after our clients with the same high level of care and attention.

“With the same staff and the same service, the only changes our customers will notice will be positive ones, particularly when it comes to the power of our marketing and branch network of more than 100 branches to ensure their property is let or sold as quickly as possible.

“Our philosophy is to provide a personal, local service by professional staff who genuinely care about helping our customers to fulfil their property ambitions. We are looking forward to being of service to our new customers in Loughborough and Quorn, and to forging many new long and successful business relationships here in in the coming months and years.”
