Local estate agents Leaders has been named as the main sponsor of this year’s Worthing Rotary Christmas Tree Appeal.
The company’s branch in Chapel Road, Worthing has agreed to support the group’s spectacular tree, which will soon appear in the town centre and will be a backdrop for a number of fundraising events throughout December.
These will include daily collections, performances by local singers and groups and school initiatives. The appeal runs from 1st to 24th December and all money raised will be donated to local charities.
Marlene Butler, Worthing Rotary fundraising coordinator, says: “We are delighted to announce Leaders as our main sponsor for our tree appeal once again this year. I would like to thank Leaders for its continued support and for the team’s help in ensuring the appeal is as successful as possible.
“We are pleased so many local bands and choirs have already agreed to play in front of the tree and entertain the public. One local school is bringing 120 children to sing, which is sure to be a highlight!”
The team from Leaders will be on hand to carry out collections and will be joined by members of the Rotary Club and other volunteers.
Adam Hills, branch manager at Leaders in Chapel Road, says: “Everybody at Leaders in Worthing is thrilled to be supporting the fantastic Worthing Rotary Christmas Tree Appeal again this year.
“The tree was a special focal point for many celebrations in the town last year and we look forward to the same atmosphere being recreated this Christmas. Most importantly, we hope the appeal will raise as much money as possible for a number of worthy causes in and around Worthing.”
