Leaders, one of the UK’s largest estate agents, has arrived in Chester after acquiring local firm Minchin Fellows.
The national company completed the acquisition in May and is now in the process of rebranding its two branches in the city centre and Hoole.
All of the Minchin Fellows employees have opted to remain in their roles as their branches begin a new chapter as Leaders. It means the same friendly faces will be on hand to provide advice and insight to local sellers, landlords, buyers and tenants as they look to make their next move.
Mark Alcroft, Leaders’ area manager for the north-west, says: “We are delighted to be in Chester for the first time and look forward to helping local people achieve their goals in the property market. It also helps us to expand our presence in the north-west, where we now have eight branches.
“It is particularly pleasing that the experienced and knowledgeable employees of Minchin Fellows have chosen to stay with us and this has allowed us to enjoy a completely smooth transition.
“Customers should not notice any changes - and if they do, we hope they will be positive ones. Our increased marketing power and head office resources should make it easier for the teams in Chester to focus on what really matters: helping our customers get the most from the property market in and around Chester.”
Minchin Fellows was owned and run by Phillip Minchin, one of its original founders, since 1999 and had built a reputation for excellence in all areas of sales and lettings in Chester.
Mr Minchin, who chose to sell the company in order to focus on other business opportunities, says: “It has been a fantastic 17 years at Minchin Fellows, during which time we have helped thousands of people to sell, let, buy and rent properties in Chester.
“The time is now right for me to move on to pastures new, but I have no doubt that Leaders is the perfect company to take the branches to the next level.”
