From nine million page views on Christmas Day, web users browsed 27 million pages on New Year’s Day and 35 million on the first working day of the year.

It is true that by the middle of January the number of visitors to the site and the quantity of page views rose even further. But, crucially, so did the number of properties listed.

So if you want exposure to millions of prospective buyers during a period when many homeowners are traditionally hesitant to put their properties up for sale due to the fear such an activity may disturb their festive season, getting a house or flat on the market before Christmas is a shrewd move.
