Southend agent becomes latest Essex firm to join Leaders

Southend-based Tudor Estates has joined the Leaders Group, one of the UK’s fastest-growing estate agents.

Tudor Estates was founded in 1959 and has overseen thousands of property sales and lets over more than half a century in the property market. It will now begin a new chapter as Leaders, becoming the firm’s 118th branch and fifth in Essex.

The deal comes just weeks after Leaders absorbed another Essex company into its national network. More Estate Agents, with branches in Clacton, Colchester, Chelmsford and Braintree, joined the organisation in January.

Kevin Shaw, national sales director at Leaders, says: “Adding a fifth branch to our growing presence in Essex is fantastic news. We believe the county is home to an important property market with plenty of potential.

“The Tudor team has gained a tremendous reputation in Southend over many years and we look forward to building on this. This acquisition gives us a chance to extend our coverage in Essex and roll out our range of services to more sellers and landlords.

“We are particularly pleased that the entire Tudor team has opted to remain with us and are enthusiastic about being part of Leaders and the opportunities this brings them. It means we have got off to a positive start in Southend and are continuing to deliver a great service by local experts without interruption.”

Luke Chiddicks, sales manager at the new Leaders branch in Southend, adds: “We are excited about joining Leaders and the many benefits this gives us and our clients. Being part of national company with specialist marketing, IT, compliance and accounts departments to support us will allow me and my team to focus on providing an even better service and grow our market share locally. It also means a wide range of opportunities for our staff to progress their careers on a larger playing field.”

This is Leaders’ third acquisition this year following a busy 2015 in which it spent over £25 million on 11 acquisitions and 32 new branches.

Mr Shaw adds: “Our expansion plans remain on track and we look forward to reaching more parts of the UK and opening many new branches over the course of 2016. We expect to complete further acquisitions in the coming weeks.”
