Two acquisitions and five new branches for rapidly-expanding Leaders

Leaders has continued to progress with its ambitious expansion plans, acquiring two companies and adding five branches to its national network in October.

The property specialist completed the purchases of Lloyds Property Agents in Wigan, Greater Manchester and Town & Country, which trades from premises in Droitwich, Evesham, Redditch and Worcester.

Matthew Light, acquisitions director at Leaders, says: “We are thrilled to finalise these acquisitions, taking our number of branches across the country to 111. We would like to welcome the staff and customers of both Lloyds and Town & Country to Leaders.

“Like Leaders, both companies have a long-established reputation for excellence and high-quality service in their respective areas. Our aim will be to continue to offer this same great service to sellers, landlords, buyers and tenants.

“The acquisition of Lloyds allows us to add a Wigan branch to our existing locations in the north-west, while the Town & Country branches will be rebranded as Leaders and included in our flourishing Midlands portfolio, which includes recently-acquired offices in Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Worcestershire.”

News of the deals comes shortly after Leaders announced it had acquired Aidan J Reed in Loughborough and Quorn.

Town & Country was owned by experienced property professional James Edwards for a number of years prior to him deciding to sell in order to pursue other projects.

He says: “Selling your business is never an easy decision, but when I made it I knew I had to find a successful buyer that would provide a great future for all my staff and clients. Leaders has the expertise and resources required to take our hugely successful business to the next level.”

Mr Light adds: “James is rightly proud of the company he has built and, by keeping the existing teams in place, we hope to deliver the same great service. In fact, the only changes we want people to notice are positive ones, such as our broader range of services and significant marketing power.”
