Reporting to the COO, this key role will see our successful candidate utilise their supplier management experience to take the lead on overall procurement-related matters across the Group, including EU procurement requirements, framework agreements, tender cycles and bespoke procurement approaches to ensure value is optimised and service delivery is achieved.

Key to the role will be to quickly create effective purchasing and supply management strategies which deliver substantial commercial and SLA business benefits

Your additional responsibilities include:

  • Capturing and shaping internal business procurement requirements looking over a one-, three- and five-year horizon
  • Analysing expenditure and overseeing budgets, plus undertaking an annual internal procurement review
  • Ensuring clarity of scope, measurable objectives and responsibilities and achievable time plans
  • The timely negotiation and renewal of contracts.

To secure this exciting opportunity, you will need:

A proven track record of delivering excellent supplier relationships through a process of review, validation, selection, commercial and SLA management and relationship management customer service, coupled with significant experience of working in a similar procurement role. A sound knowledge of financial and budgetary control and negotiating, formally and informally, is also essential, as are strong relationship-building, IT and report writing skills. Calm, flexible and highly influential, you must also be an outstanding communicator with impressive attention to detail.
