Our 26th May auction had an 86% success rate selling 19 of the 22 lots on offer, and raised nearly £8m. All the properties that sold at the auction received good levels of interest and fierce bidding with some exceptional sales prices, on average 20% above guide prices.
With more predicted rises in mortgage interest rates as the Bank of England tries to tackle high inflation, buying now rather than later in the year may be the right decision as competition amongst buyers looking for cheaper property increases.
