Meet Liam Riley
Your experienced estate agent in Halstead

Heading up our branch in Halstead is Liam Riley, who boasts more than six years of experience in the property industry and is the perfect person to sell or let any property in the area. Liam initially joined Allen Estates in 2011, before it was acquired by Leaders in 2016, and he has continued to lead the successful and popular team as it has expanded its sales and lettings services in the local area. He currently works as part of a team of four, which includes two negotiators and a home guide.

Having started his career as a negotiator himself, Liam quickly achieved excellent results and became renowned for high-quality customer service. As a result, he was promoted to the roles of senior negotiator, assistant manager and finally branch manager. Liam says: “I was born and raised in Halstead and I still live in the town - so if anybody can sell the area, I can! Whether you are looking to sell, let, buy or rent, the team and I would be delighted to help you realise your ambitions in the property market.”

What Halstead's customers say

We recently sold a property through Leaders Estate Agents in Halstead. We would thoroughly recommend them. The sale was the most smooth property sale we have experienced. The agents were professional, helpful, thorough and easy to deal with. Liam always responded to our queries speedily, offered sound advice, was friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We really appreciated all this in what was quite a stressful time of our lives. Many thanks.

One thing that stood out for me was when calling the office, Nat who took my call after the viewing was so helpful and spoke to me for ages despite other calls waiting for him. Terri-Mae was great at responding and checking up on us during the process. Liam has also been great throughout. Leaders have been really good and I would recommend them

Liam Riley's advice right at beginning was very useful. He advised a value of what it was worth in his opinion based on his knowledge of the local area and estate in particular and suggested a slightly lower price it would sell at. Having explained that the maximum price was not of prime importance but a smooth and quick transaction were more important he came up with a revised figure that would likely get me more than one offer. He advised against doing any decorating/plumbing/electrics work I thought was necessary as he assured me it would sell without any work at all. I was a little sceptical as this seemed to be against what I had heard from others in the past. But he was right and I was grateful as this saved me some money and some inconvenience. The property sold straight away. One day after going on market numerous viewings were arranged at the weekend. The following Monday 3 offers were received, 2 at the asking price. One was selected as the most reliable buyer. Although it was clear I could have got more money I stuck with my original buyer and this turned out be the right decision. Exactly 7 weeks after seeing Liam the exchange and completion was achieved on the same day. The only grumble I would have is using Lifetime legal. and although this is not Leaders fault I think it would be best not to recommend using them. Lifetime legal don't do conveyancing, give contradictory advice and find you a solicitor for a fee. You can never find the your contact again after the first phone call. The found me a solicitor in the North who at times I could not contact by phone. Best to get your own local solicitor who you can phone and drop in to see, if you need to.
