According to Rightmove stats, in 2019 most property sales in Kent were for terraced properties, which sold for £310,879 on average. Semi-detached homes sold for an average price of £374,727, while detached properties sold for about £565,941.
Kent, with an overall average price of £369,149, is similar in terms of sold prices to nearby counties East Sussex and West Sussex, but was cheaper than Surrey. The most expensive area within Kent was Langton Green (with properties selling for £816,267 on average) and the least expensive was Queenborough (fetching £186,687 on average).
Over the last 12 months, sold prices in Kent were similar to prices in 2018, and 7% up on 2017 when the average house price was £345,118.
